A CALM PLACE TO BEGIN

Counselling that feels supportive, thoughtful & safe.

Sometimes life feels overwhelming. You might know exactly what is wrong, or perhaps you only know that something doesn’t feel right or is weighing heavy.

Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to work through it alone.

COUNSELLING IN KINGSTON & ONLINE

A thoughtful space to slow down, feel heard and make sense of what is happening.

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck. Perhaps you are struggling in a relationship, living with loss, questioning your confidence, or simply finding it hard to enjoy life in the way you once did.

Counselling gives us time to gently untangle what has been happening and to understand your thoughts, feelings and responses with greater compassion rather than criticism.

You don’t need to arrive with the right words—or even know where to start.

HI, I’M KELLIE

Warm, down-to-earth counselling, built around you.

I know that contacting a counsellor can feel like a big step.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. I offer a calm, confidential space where you can feel genuinely listened to and understood, with the freedom to explore your thoughts and feelings without pressure to reach a particular answer.

We will work alongside each other, at a pace that feels manageable, to understand your experiences, recognise patterns that may be affecting your life and explore what feels right for you moving forward.

People and relationships have always been at the heart of my work.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked in people-focused roles within professional organisations. During that time, I worked closely with individuals from many different backgrounds, building relationships and supporting people through challenge and change.

That experience gave me a genuine understanding of the pressures many people face as they balance work, relationships, responsibility and their own wellbeing.

I have always been interested in people: their stories, their relationships and the experiences that shape who they become. Over time, that interest developed into a wish to understand people more deeply and support them in a different way - training as a counsellor felt like a natural next step.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I work within the BACP Ethical Framework and undertake regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK TOGETHER

Therapy starts with you.

Every person brings something different to counselling, so I adapt the way we work to you, rather than expecting you to fit into a particular way of doing things.

The work develops through the relationship we build and what feels most helpful for you.

Building a trusting relationship

Feeling safe enough to be yourself takes time. We will build the relationship gently, with warmth, honesty and consistency, and without pressure to share more than feels right.

Understanding your experiences

Together, we can make sense of what is happening in your life now, while also noticing the experiences, relationships and patterns that may still shape how you feel and respond.

Finding a way forward

Counselling is not only about understanding why things feel difficult. Alongside that understanding, we can explore new perspectives, practical changes and different ways of relating to yourself and others.

HOW COUNSELLING CAN HELP

Counselling can help with many of life’s challenges.

You do not need to see yourself in one of these, they are simply some of the experiences people often bring to counselling:

When your mind will not switch off

Racing thoughts, constant worry or feeling exhausted from holding everything together.

When relationships feel difficult

Feeling hurt, stuck, misunderstood or unsure of your boundaries with others.

When the world feels harder to navigate or make sense of

Feeling different or misunderstood, or finding everyday life harder because of ADHD or autism.

When you have lost sight of yourself

Feeling flat, disconnected, hard on yourself or unsure of your own value.

When life changes unexpectedly

Bereavement, separation, identity changes or transitions that have unsettled your sense of self.

When thoughts or patterns keep pulling you back

Intrusive thoughts, fears or familiar ways of coping that keep repeating.
